[A nod.] Yeah. And she's Evie's stepsister after all.
[She beams.] Well, when my older brother and I were younger, we got to travel a lot with our parents whenever they needed to tour around the kingdoms. Snow White's was just one of them. [beat] I guess that was just part of the whole "military brat" lifestyle.
Oh, no! It wasn't. Auradon has been relatively peaceful for 20 years now. Mama and Baba are just in charge of national security and training the armies so they went around to see if everything was in working order.
Uhh, let's see... Besides getting to travel to the different kingdoms and stuff?
[beat] Ah, Shang and I got to try out the weapons Mama and Baba were demonstrating to the troops! Under their supervision, of course. And we got to stay in different palaces, but we spent the most time in Castle Beast to rest up and we played with Prince Ben a lot! Er, he's king now. That was a lot of fun...
[Lonnie might be saying a lot of familiar words to Sora now.]
Oh, Camelot wasn't fun. King Arthur was nice but [Absently:] why are there no bathrooms anywhere??
[Luckily he has chatted with Evie from time to time so he knows that there is a world out there that seems to mash all the ones he knows into some sort of Disney melting pot.]
Whoa, you got to stay with Beast and Belle? I heard they had a kid! I didn't know he already got to take a crack at being the king! When I got to see them last Beast and Belle were just getting together. Not even a wedding yet!
[There's also just one more detail that sticks out...] Did you say your brother's name is Shang?
[She laughs.] Oh, yeah! We did. Ben's a childhood friend of mine. We practically grew up together. King Beast actually united the kingdoms together after he married Queen Belle twenty years ago
[Lonnie nods.] Shang's named after our dad. He's called Li'l Shang so people don't get confused. He doesn't like it though! [Another laugh.] Probably because he's already in his 20s.
Yes! [Lonnie laughs, the sound of bells ringing can be heard while she claps her hands in glee.] They are and they do!
[Well, Shang and Lonnie are enough proof that those crazy kids got together eventually.]
And you got to fight with them! That's sooo cool! I only got to hear about their war stories from them, my grandparents or Mushu. Though Mushu likes to exaggerate a lot when he tells it.
